“Just wanted to let you know that the floor is now finished and looking great.
Your fitter, Damien did a fantastic job, it's truly a work of art. Due to the width of the wide board oak the grain is more pronounced and a lot more interesting than other oak I have seen. My house was a tricky task for Damien as it is built on a bend of the road so the house is slightly elongated in that it's more narrow at the front and gradually widens as you move to the back, so this had to be taken into consideration when laying the boards in as uniformed manner as possible! It also turned out that the joists in the kitchen were rotten and Damien had to rebuild those in order to create the perfect flat, sub floor that wasn't going to dip etc. The finish is amazing and brings out the grain and knots which have been beautifully filled by Damien and transforms the oak from "normal" wood to something really stunning.
I spent months researching timber floors for my new house and looked at loads of options having originally discounted oak as i thought it wasn't going to be interesting enough. However I am pleased to say that going with these 11 inch boards was most definitely the right decision.
Anyway, just thought I would let you know that I am a most satisfied customer. Damien is a craftsman who takes genuine pride in his work and I would recommend him without hesitation. Likewise your oak is fantastic.You may remember I had reservations in the beginning about laying such wide planks in a relatively small Victorian house, but this was by far the right choice. It doesn't look out of place at all and quite honestly anything narrower would look inferior.
Should you have any clients in London who want to see what a Victorian town house looks like with 11 inch wide oak boards, I would be happy to show them my house. Many thanks and kind regards”

“The wood you supplied to our client was delivered, stored and installed as per your instructions.
It has now been in use for some 6 months during which time it has performed impeccably with no warping
at all which was our main concern as it is installed over underfloor heating and again we followed your instructions
here by fitting a plywood subfloor between the heating cables and the wood flooring itself.
We have found the product and the service we received from yourselves to be first class and we will definitely do business with your company in the future.
